 Trade in Kötzschenbroda

This trade manufactory was founded by Anton OTT in Dresden in the year of 1922. He studied the trade of Porcelainpainting in the bavarian town of Tirschenreuth. The simple decors where oriented towards Paintings as they could be found in traditious farmers art.

Bombed out in 13th February 1945, the founder found the trade enterprice near Dresden, 14 km to Meißen at Radebeul for a second time. It was the only way, because Radebeul was the only not bombed out town in the suburb. Now Altkötzschenbroda a rebuilded jewel is the home of the enterprise. Until 1965 Anton OTT was the head of the firm. After his death, his son Werner OTT has taken over the business. From time to time ten china painters worked in the workshop.

In the year of 1983 OTT's granddaughter Renate Clausnitzer continued the work of it's founder. Together with her husband she rebuild the manufactory into a working exhibit and shop in the early 1990's. Now Costumers not only shop, they have the possibility to get a look into the process of handtrade right by the way.

National and international Exhibitions allowed the OTTs to collect a large and loyal number of satisfied costumers.
